I had a pleasant stay at Asta Hotel. The location was fantastic, only a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, surrounded by convenient shops and eateries. The staff were exceptionally warm and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.

The room had great water pressure in the shower, making it refreshing after a long day. I appreciated the cleanliness of the room. The mini fridge was just enough to keep some leftovers from nearby restaurants. The location really stood out—only a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, surrounded by eateries, including some open 24 hours. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful, especially Dawa at the front counter, who was always ready to lend a hand. However, the room felt a bit cramped. The size made it challenging to navigate, especially with luggage. I also noticed the water temperature during showers occasionally dropped, but it returned to normal after a moment. Having a small patio outside was a nice touch, where I could unwind a bit, albeit it can get noisy with passing guests.

During my stay, I found the room to be quite small, which made it challenging to move around, especially with luggage. Also, the lack of cupboards meant we had to rely on hangers and hooks for our clothes, leading to clutter. Additionally, it would have been helpful to have screen mirroring options for the TV, as my family does not speak Japanese and accessing shows was quite difficult.

the hotel was an ideal base for my weekend strolls in the city, being just a short 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and I loved how close I was to Nishi-Ikebukuro Park, a lovely green spot perfect for relaxing.

The only hiccup was the pillows, which had a strange smell, but it didn't spoil my overall experience—just pack your own for comfort! 😊
